Why use D-SOLV red laundry bags?

• Reduce handling and the risk of cross-contamination with red bags that fully dissolve at 70C.
• Conforms to the NHS Executive Guidelines - HSG (95) 18 - Hospital Laundry Arrangements for Used and Infected Linen
• Bags can take damp laundry.
• Bags can be put directly into the washing machine. They do not clog filters or leave residue on laundry.
• Made from Hydropol, they do not cause environmental problems in the waste-water stream because they, are non toxic, marine safe and biodegradable.
• Reduces the risk of infection transmission. Hydropol is an effective barrier against pathogens, reducing the time any infection pathogens will dwell on the material and lowering the risk of transmission compared to traditional bags made from PE.

How to use D-SOLV red laundry bags

• Collect laundry and put into the D-Solv red bag
• Close bag with water-soluble tie attached.
• Put bag directly into the washing machine. No need to split or de-bag.
• Wash at ≥70C/158F preferably with your usual detergent
• The bag dissolves so laundry is washed clean
• No residue to clean from machine, filters or laundry
